Astral projection is the scary topic here, as Paul Sharp (Winston Rekert) delves into practicing it. Hes an unsuccessful film director who looks for something new and finds Janus (the ever spooky Karen Black). Janus teaches him how to wander outside of his body, but some spirit seems intent on knocking off everyone that Paul loves. Pauls an unlikable slouch so its his relatives that elicit the sympathy here, but theyre doomed by the eternal evil. The answer to all of this is much more interesting than anticipated, and almost makes this thriller/horror film worth it. Almost.
